DIABETES IN HAMSTERS & *DIET

*This is a very strict version of a diabetic hamster diet, you do not have to be this strict with a diet unless you want to be.
**Please keep in mind that I am not a vet. I recommend that you do your own detailed research on diabetic diets and do not rely solely on this video for all of your information. There are many other views and opinions out there worth reading about!
*** UPDATE: This video is now slightly out of date due to new dietary information that is now available to the hamster community. Removing corn and peas is no longer seen as necessary as it does not increase the risk as much as was previously believed. You can still limit the amount they get if you wish but you do not need to completely remove them from the diet :)

Hello all, Erin here bringing you all you need to know when it comes to hamster care!
Currently we have just two hamsters, a solid black long-haired male Syrian named Einstein and a non-pedigree femal Winter White (hybrid) dwarf named Amylase. With several years of experience in care and breeding I'm here to offer advice on general care, I have owned over 20 hamsters (mostly roborovskis) and specialise in the care of dwarf hamsters but I still know plenty when it comes to Syrians and Chinese hamsters!
