If your a beginner and going to buy a dwarf hamster, this video will show all you need to know about them, if you need a quick lesson on dwarf hamsters.

MORE FACTS/INFORMATION
- Dwarf hamsters can have several babies
- Hamsters are nocturnal (meaning they are mostly sleeping during the day and are active at night)
- Make sure you use your lights during the right times, lights on mean bed time, lights off mean play time. turning lights on, during the wrong times can mess up your hamster's sleeping schedual and you'll end up having a grumpy hamster.
- You do not have to bath dwarf hamsters, the bath themselves, no need for water. But if you want to take extra care of your hamster and want to bath ur hamster, buy dust bath (powder used for bathing chinchillas and hamsters) and small brushes. *If you bath a hamster in water it can get them really sick (and die) or cause ear/eye problems if anything gets into them ~THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN BATH YOUR HAMSTER IF YOU TRY TO AVOID THESE THINGS ITS DANGEROUS~
- You can also give hamsters household foods as rewards, foods such as cereal, fruit or vegies.
- Other toys can be found in your household, a cleanix box (without the ink) can be made as a hut or small boxes
- If you cannot get a hold of hamster fluff, you can also you paper (without ink) or tissue paper for bedding. (dwarfs enoy ripping up the bedding, so no need to rip up the tissue)
- Make sure to buy a hamster from a pet store that has the females and males seperated, so if you choose to get a female you won't have to deal with babies
- If you do come home to find a small litter of pups (baby hamsters) in the cage, DO NOT TOUCH THEM, let them mother take care of them. If you touch them she will either eat them or reject them and they will starve to death. If you must move the babies to clean the cage, use a plastic spoon and BE CAREFUL, even new borns can be a little wiggly. If you do not want to take care of all the pups then wait until they 6 weeks old (maybe 7 just to be safe) so you can sell or give them away to new homes.
- If your hamster just had babies or you are planning to breed, here is a warning... THE FEMALE WILL BECOME VERY AGGRESSIVE after they've given birth to the pups
Tip: If you bring home a female hamster who seems "savage" theres a possibility that she's pregnant
- Most female become aggressive after giving birth but a few remain to have the same attitude
*Very Important* - MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT DROP YOUR HAMSTER ON THE FLOOR IF THEY ARE HIGH UP. Some hamsters may appear fine after that but they may have something wrong with them on the inside and may end up dying days or weeks later on.
- If you choose to buy two hamsters, make sure they are the same sex so you don't end up with babies

MESSAGE!: ~For people who always try to correct me. I don't care, i raised my hamsters differently than you have and they have all lived happily lives. If i am making a mistake then i will fix it and learn from it. I am respectful about others information, hell it even helps me sometimes. Everyone raises their pets different, if they aren't screaming or looking deathly ill then thats fine with me. If they aren't taking care of the animal, they shouldn't even have it! I have raised dwarf hamsters for years, it may look like i only have one or i don't have on at all, but there was a time where i had 15 hamsters all at once, but i let them go to other homes because i wanted whats best for them. I have stopped because i lost one special little girl that i considered my pride & joy [i had her since she was first born. I brought home a pregnant hamster, i didnt know but i got the best little gift out of it (she lived her full life with me, she died of old age)] So i am passing on information that i know, not what i've heard but from what i've experienced. So if you try to correct me or think you are smarter than everyone who has a dwarf hamster, just save it because theres always going to be someone a lot smarter than you are. I'm saying that someone is me by the way, i only know so much about hamsters but it keeps me content. So if you have a comment about how you raise your hamster and i think i'm doing something wrong, i don't care, people learn from their mistakes and usually they don't need to hear it from others. I am one of those people, if i make a mistake, i learn from it.~
