Peruvian Kitchen Cleanup Crew

These guinea pigs lived on the floor of the kitchen in a Quechua house we stayed at. They live off of vegetable trimmings and sleep under the fire pit. Eventually, of course, the circle is completed and they're converted into tasty food for the villagers - quite efficient, really. Here they're eating a little supplemental hay.
