What's In My Guinea Pig First Aid Kit?

Here is my guinea pig first aid kit. I am using a Plano® tackle box to store my first aid supplies. A first aid kit is something that every guinea pig owner should have. Make sure your kit is clearly marked as a guinea pig first aid kit. A fishing tackle box or small tool box works well for storing and organizing your first aid supplies. You can also buy first aid kits for pets online.
I have a nail file in my kit but forgot to include it in this video. I use the nail file to file down the tips of my guinea pigs' nails after I have trimmed them.
The purpose of a first aid kit is to stabilize your guinea pig before you take him/her to the veterinarian. A first aid kit is not a substitute for a visit to the vet. If your guinea is showing any signs of illness, take him/her to the vet right away. You should have your veterinarian's address and phone number handy in case of an emergency. You might also want to consider finding a 24-hour pet clinic just in case your guinea pig gets sick or injured after hours.
I am not a veterinarian. I'm just sharing what I have in my first aid kit and giving you some ideas on what to include in your kit. If you need professional advice, please contact a licensed veterinarian (DVM).
