Are Pellets Healthy?

Yes and no.
Pellets can be a healthy addition to a guinea pigs or rabbits diet, however on the other hand they can be harmful, depending what brand you choose. Of corse there are several different brands that sell specially formulated pellets for optimum nutrition. Grain free is best, as grain is generally difficult for them to digest, unless it is gluten free (quinoa, buckwheat, millet..). Although, if the pellets have been through the extrusion process, the grain becomes denatured and as a result, is easier to digest. Extruded pellets are heated at high temperatures meaning the natural vitamins & goodness is generally destroyed in the process. Manufacturers generally add artificial vitamins to replace those lost in the extrusion process, which is not so good. Choosing cold pressed pellets is therefore a better option as all the natural vitamins & goodness remain in the final product. Also look for ingredients with a natural composition - a variation of grasses and meadow plants mimics their natural diet, therefore that is ideal. Of corse there are many different views on this subject, though research and experience allows me to share my knowledge.
