This video is about Static Mites on Guinea Pigs. Static mites are a parasite that feed on dead skin cells and appear as little, dark flakes on hair strands. The are on the hay that the guinea pigs eat. Luckily, they are not particularly harmful to your pet and are easily washed away with shampoo. These should not be confused with burrowing mites, which should be treated by a veterinarian
