Roasting Guinea Pigs

Roasting guinea pigs at an outdoor market in Ecuador. You know those cute, cuddly, soft and fuzzy animals you buy for your kids to play with? Well, in a LOT of South American countries, they are looked at as food, like we would basically look at chickens, or pigs, or cows, whatever. From what I understand, never having eaten any myself, they taste very good, kind of a little more "gamey" flavor than chicken! But cuy are a delicacy in Ecuador, even more so in Peru. So, different strokes for different folks... right?
