#1 Mistake New Guinea Pig Owners Make

Scotty is a volunteer at the Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue. He has been helping with adoptions, transportation and whatever else needs to be done at the rescue. After over six years volunteering Scotty has seen plenty of mistakes. There is a learning curve when caring for guinea pigs, and pet stores don't exactly help the situation with inadequate cages and offering different kinds of food and treats that are less than healthy. The number one biggest mistake that Scotty sees at the Guinea Pig Rescue and the one mistake that Scotty sees the most often, is cage size! Guinea pigs need to live in 8 square feet and so often Scotty sees cages that are even as small as 2 square feet!
