guinea pigs having a domestic dispute over dinner

Every time I get Chipotle for a burrito lunch/dinner, I always ask for a bowl of their romaine lettuce on the side for my guinea pigs and they are always happy to accommodate me for free. Here are my two pigs Charlie and Pumpkin nomming on their meal with a few scuffles as they start to get into each other's way.
I always find it hilarious the way that Charlie gets all dramatic over food. Enjoy!
_____________
Pumpkin is a 7 month-old female Peruvian breed of guinea pig who was adopted at PetCo after 8 months of no luck finding a rescue or rehomeable baby in central Oklahoma. (Charlie was in need of a companion after Fudge had passed away. Guinea pigs are VERY social animals.)
Charlie is a 6+ year-old neutered male half-sheltie breed of guinea pig. I adopted him from a guinea pig rescue in Illinois a little over 4 years ago.

As a side note on my pet posts, I often get comments about how much people "want one." I encourage you to read up on the proper care and treatment of all of these critters that you want. A pet is not a fashion accessory, collectible, or spur-of-the-moment item, it is a living thing that requires a commitment of MANY YEARS and needs proper care, housing, nutrition, and most importantly attention. It also has hidden costs such as vet bills and food expenses. It is a big responsibility.
As a plea for animal welfare I give you this:
If you love guinea pigs and want one, I encourage you to adopt and rescue pigs (and all of your pets) from shelters and rescues rather than pet stores. Pet stores often support and buy their animals from mass breeders; people who mistreat, abuse, and neglect animals and are only in it for the profit. If the pet you want can't be found in a shelter, then do your best to find a private breeder.
A great place to start looking for pets in need of rescue is Petfinder:

This is the site from which we found and adopted Pumpkin's companion Charlie.
So many animals are homeless and need a place to live, do your part and rescue them.
