Doris Rodriguez, Peruvian trainer farmer on raising guinea pigs

Doris Rodriguez trains community members on how to properly raise guinea pigs, using her farm as an example. She and her husband Rolando work together on raising their livestock, challenging stereotypes about "women's" and "men's" work.
This video is part of a larger video from our Peruvian partner Diaconia, that profiles farmers as they learn to increase the amount of food they produce. Community trainer farmers are taught these agricultural techniques which they then can pass on to their communities. They are also taught about gender equality, and how men and women can work together harmoniously, which has reduced domestic violence. The final segment profiles an environmental protection group that promotes sustainable practices in the Casma River Basin. CLWR is pleased to support this work.
