Youth Outdoor Unity welcomes Houston community kids to enroll in our After School Program held at our facility every Tuesday and Thursday. Our program implements "THE ART OF LIVING PROJECT" which encourages youth to make positive lifestyle changes through environmental education, obesity awareness and outdoor activity.
In addition to academic assistance utilizing onsite computers and internet connection, our activities allow youth to get in touch with nature through environmental activities such as Horsemanship, Horseback Riding (mounting/dismounting), Goat Exhibits, Gardening and Water Conservation and GIS Navigation. We have partnered with Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as well as Prairie View University giving our youth the opportunity to reach for Agricultural Scholarships.
