Today, I'd like to check the nutrition facts of goat cheese. I have a product in my hand from Alpenmark, natural mild and fresh goat cheese from Aldi, a discounter supermarket in Germany. If you stay until the end of this video, I'll show you a small clip of cute baby goat, which may cheer up your day.

The product comes in a package of 150 grams, and the cheese is in slices. There are 6 slices in it, each weighing 25 grams. It is actually simple, plain goat cheese.Goat cheese is doesn't include any lactose. So, if you are lactose intolerant, here is your chance to eat cheese.

Let's have a look at the ingredients. We have pasteurised goat milch in it, salt, some cheese culture and some additives for conservation. Looks good to me. And to mention again, the lactose amount is less than 0.1 grams, which is negligible.

Let's have a look at the nutrition facts. I am going to take one slice as reference. One slice weights 25 grams having 93 calories. This is quite OK for cheese. Cheese is a good source of energy. The majority of this energy comes from fat. There are around 8 grams of fat in one slice. What I find very positive is that there are no carbohydrates in it, as well no sugar.

Additionally, we have 5 and a half grams of protein in it. I really love this at cheese. They are a great source of protein. With my exercise program, I try to increase my protein intake with every opportunity. Otherwise, I have to eat lots of meat. Eating one chicken a day, is not much fun.

In summary, this goat cheese is a tasty natural product, good source of energy, good source of fat and proteins. There is a high amount of fat, but it is good fat. I am not against fats, I am mainly against processed carbs, especially sugar.

This is a wonderful product. I personally eat it every day. One slice with breakfast, together with some ham, cheese and nuts. It helps me keep my satiety until lunch. So, I don't get hungry at 10 o'clock and have to grab some chocolate, due to low energy level.

Here you can see the size of one slice, 25 grams. I really like sliced cheese, because it helps me to control the amount of cheese I am eating. Good for calorie counters.

In short, this product definitely belongs to my list of healthy foods.

If you have been watching until now, here is the promised cute baby goat.
