Sheep and Goat Creep Gate Basics: Must Have! Simple Instructions! Learn how to make a creep gate for lambs and goats without breaking the bank! In this video, Tim shows you have to make an effective creep gate without spending much money.
Creeps are a great way to feed your lambs and goat kids while keeping adults out. All new goat kids and lambs should be on free choice creep feed immediately at birth until at least weaning! The best way to keep the larger adults from getting into feed and from potentially hurting youngsters is by setting up a creep system. Creep feeders can be set up in any area, so long as there is enough room for the lambs and goat kids to move around. We use 6 ft double sided hog feeders on our farm as a tool to help feed our babies and it works great. Creep feeding is the best way to add size and weight to your lambs and goat kids effectively!
