This video demonstrates how domestic goats can perform important duties on the farm by removing unwanted undergrowth, weeds, and saplings.
These goats are four months old and enjoy browsing a variety of plants here on our free range poultry farm. We learned that they go wherever we go and therefore do not require portable fencing or leads and halters. They are social, so they want to be wherever we are.
They look forward to their daily walks into the woods and actually run ahead of us as they see the trail. The rest of the time, they are on protected/fenced pasture. At night, they are kept in a goat barn with fresh water, hay and they are given goat rations twice a day.
