Trimming the hooves of goats

In Canada, goats generally walk on soft bedding and/or soft pasture, so their hooves are not worn down naturally. Because of this, goat farmers have to trim the goats' hooves two to four times each year. The process is much like cutting your finger nails and doesn't hurt the goats a bit! In this video, Adrian and Bonnie, along with the help of their daughter Rebecca, conduct a hoof trimming demonstration. You can also tour the family's farm virtually at www.virtualfarmtours.ca
