This is a necessary procedure for baby goats and the most humane way of doing it. What we are doing is removing the horn buds before they can attach to the skull thus eliminating the risk of the goat hurting other goats when bucking each other, hurting the humans that care for the goats, and hanging themselves on the fences when their horns get stuck.
Filmed at Wesmar farms in Moreauville, Louisiana with West & Marguerite Constantine.
