How to Care for Baby Goats
No one can provide better care for baby goats than a mother doe can. To ensure the kids get off to a healthy start there are three areas you should know about before your new kids arrive. These are adequate nutrition, good fencing and containment and a basic knowledge of ‘kidding’. Goats eat forage, consisting of hay and pasture plants. Providing good pasture, fresh hay, clean water, and grain supplements will provide the proper nutrition a doe needs to stay healthy and adequately nurse their newborn baby kids.
