Goats on the Go

On July 17, 2014 I hired goats to take care of the weeds in my yard. This is stage one of my landscaping experience, plus it was a delicious snack for the 20+ goats that arrived at 7:00am. The idea of having a sustainable way to take care of unwanted shrubbery is one that is worth the cost in my mind. Plus, no horrid chemicals (other than goat pellets) on my lawn.
Aaron and Chad, co-owners - Goats on the Go, an Ames, Iowa, assured me it would not take much time at all to eliminate the unwanted greens. Aaron (Iowa State University alum) mentioned that the LARGE stems would probably remain - however, everything else would be a scrumptious treat. Aaron and Chad put up a solar charged electrical fence to help contain the goats.
The goats were relatively quiet - the only noises you could hear were our Dobermans and the goats crunching.
