This video aim to improve the productivity of sheep and lambs in Jordan By focussing in Animal Health, Nutrition and the use of Improved Rams , because the three elements depend on each other’s for example if we fed the sheep well with balanced feed and treated any flock against all disease without using fertile ram we didn't achieved anything, also if we used fertile ram and or treated or vaccinated the sheep well against diseases well without feeding well the sheep properly didn’t achieved anything, as well if used fertile rams and fed the sheep properly without treating or vaccinated the sheep well we didn’t achieved anything . So we must achieve the three procedures together by using the management program which includes also the use of new technology to increase productivity of sheep based on milk, meat and wool production as well as healthy flock free from contagious diseases.
It is necessary for the success of any project to use the herd management for optimal utilization and through which we can increase production in quantity and quality , reducing the cost, shorten the time, project sustainability, competitiveness through exploitation of local resources especially in nutrition field and getting three deliveries in two years instead of one delivery each year by this way we increase productivity by gaining one extra herd lambs and milk production, in addition to that increasing the twins rate up to 25%. Another positive thing is that the herd management facilitating the vaccination ,health and feed procedures based on timetable without having to delay and thereby success of any sheep breeding and fattening project by using these elements as mentioned above
Increase in milk and meat productivity, in addition to that increasing wool productivity in quality and quantity.
Building Human capacity.
Maintaining public health.
Reducing the mortality rate of sheep and goats.
Increase income.
Stimulating investors to invest in this sector.
