In a bid to curb the high levels of poverty, the president's office
through its poverty alliviation campaing partnered with a prominent
farmer in Ssembabule district to popularise the breeding of white goats
targeting the export market in Saudi Arabia.
The sh6.5bn project involved distribution of 54,000 local goats and 350 Savannah goats to108 local farmers.
However Paul sembeguya the goat beeder says the project has not lived upto its expectaion due to the delayed release of funds from the treasury.
