These are the first things I made the guinea pigs. They love chewing the Balsa wood, it is safe and soft.
As I have 5 piggies, I need many houses. And variety is key. I rest things for a few weeks before I put them back in.

The favourite is the HAY HOUSE. I have left a gap in each wall so you can stuff it with Hay or Vegies. I have numerous roofs, depending on my layout. They can eat from inside, outside, the bottom etc so no fights. I used to fill with Hay every night when I went to bed and every morning it was empty.
I am going to remake these without floors and a bit bigger. Let me know if you want me to do a full video on how I did it. They are very simple.
I have also turned a bread box into a multi level house, a bird house into an added platform to attach to this, and lots of other things. Let me know if you want to see them. Cut the legs off several coffee tables, one of which I have just found stairs for. That will follow soon.
We are still in an extreme heat wave here, was 40 degrees yesterday, so a bit of a cool down is a good idea. No one is moving more than necessary. We have airconditioning right above them, and they are now used to the noise. This took a while.
I have filled one side of the house with Timothy Hay. The other side I have filled with their breakfast, some baby cos, kale, cucumber, some yellow capsicum (bell pepper) & a few corn husks.
