Life for dogs and cats at animal shelters can be stressful, regardless of how wonderful a shelter is (like ours here in Lynchburg!). It's frustrating and sad for everybody when some great dogs and cats wait and wait for homes. Sometimes it feels easier just to avoid photos of the sad eyes of animals up for adoption-- they can make us feel guilty or depressed when we can't adopt right now. For a change, experience the laughter and joy that having a pet can bring!
