Peacocks, Chickens & Guineas play tether ball with cabbage - Funny Farm Animals

It was unseasonably warm today, so I pulled a cabbage out of the fridge & tied it to a string & hung it from the roof of our poultry run. It took them a few minutes to muster up the courage to take a bite, but they figured it out pretty quickly.
We have two yearling peacocks - one is India Blue Peacock & the other is High-Percentage Spalding Peacock. Our Rooster is a Crested Cream Legbar and his girls are Rhode Island Reds. Also, one of our Pearl Guineas makes an appearance.
If your birds are bored while locked in their run, this is a great way to keep them entertained. It keeps them from picking on each other too much, and it also provides wonderful nutrition. Have you tried it before? Let us know how it went for you in the comments.
