Incorporating more greens into their diet.
They have been eating up all the hydrilla (water weeds) that I put in to beautify the tank. Only the stalks are left. And most of the newly formed roots of the pothos have been nipped off. I've been putting in some water convolvulus leaves for them to eat for the past few days. Today I've got them some blanched Japanese cucumber slices. They really love it.
Preparation:
1) 2 Japanese cucumbers, any size will do.
2) Wash thoroughly and cut off the tips of the cucumbers.
3) Cut them into 4 parts, depending on how long you want them to be.
4) Slice thinly.
5) Drop them into boiling water for about 5 minutes or until they become bright green and soft.
6) Run them under cold water.
7) Feed the fishes. The slices should sink on their own. If not you can hold them with a stone.
