They are fighting and shouldn’t be left together. On the other hand, I love the color contrast between them and the blue gravel. I have 5 Rainbow sharks in a tank by themselves and they never fight. Just make sure they all have hiding places.

Research what fish you want to make sure they’re compatible and fish need different ph! temperatures etc etc otherwise you’ll always have problems it’s an awesome hobby if you do it right. Rainbow sharks can be kept with themselves red tails can not. They need more hides amd goldfish are cold water and rainbows are tropical. http://plecostomus.org/food/

When i looked it up a few months back is said groups so probably not just one or two more like a school so 6+ so they have others to distract them. Kinda like a sorority also depends on size of tank so can get awau from each other. They are Beautiful fish but goldfish are cold water fish & sharks are tropical. Keeping 2 together is probably not a good idea. https://youtu.be/gTGC9SIFPH4

They’re Ruby Sharks. And are a tropical species. Goldfish are a temperate water species.
Ruby sharks are best in large groups or singular. It looks like the largest two are competing for dominance. What research did you previously do to purchasing?

Goldfish can be kept in any temp and are better kept in warm water but tolerate cold very well. Plz read a book. I have the same shark in a 90 gallon community tank & he is fine bc of the size of the tank & he will chase other fish out of his hiding spot but that's it but sharks normally need to be by themselves. There's things you need to remember some semi aggressive fish can be in a community tank & be fine but it depends on the tempermant of the fish & the size of the tank.

When rainbow sharks are small they don't always show aggression towards each other. As they get larger they get territorial. The dominant one will harass the others. Pleco food. My 2 balla sharks used to do this but they were buddies for years. Normally they only got sassy when they were going to eat.

Shouldn't be in the same tank as goldfish and wrong set up . Move them into a warmer tank and tropical fish only. And yes thay are fighting. Wow, so they are called Ruby Sharks? They are beautiful where can I get some of those? I have a big tank (unused) I didn't plan on getting any more fish but I would like some of them. https://www.facebook.com/plecofishkeepers/

They're just fighting for dominance. As long as you don't start to see injuries, they're fine. As far as the goldfish go, they're fine as well. I've seen goldfish kept at 86 degrees in discus tanks before and grew just fine. Eventually you will need a larger tank though. Enjoy!

Why ask if you’re just going to go with what you think! They will fight to death.... and a slow and nasty bullying death!
