German Blue Ram Care and Tank Setup. They are pretty small cichlids so you will want to use a smaller fish food like this stuff.

Taking care of German blue ram cichlids. I just wanted to sort of bring attention to something the admins have been doing more often that I feel like isn’t always best for the group. Lately I feel like I will go to comment on a post and the comments are closed. Even if the content is against the rules or is harmful, I feel like it’s better to let people comment advice and suggestions rather than immediately close off comments.

Today I was going to comment on a post and I saw I couldn’t comment. Upon further examination, no helpful advice or well explained thoughts had been given before the comments were closed. I feel like this can drive people away and can possibly endanger bettas if newbies aren’t given advice. Hope this doesn’t come across as bitter or bitchy, but I was a beginner not too long ago and I would have hated that to have happened to me.

German Blue rams are dwarf cichlids. Finally got the 65g set up and running, now to wait while it cycles. We are debating not doing it as an angel only tank but want to have at one or two in it, give me your good Angel tank mate options! We want color and activity without stressing the angels.

Dose anyone use long gloves to work in their aquarium? For Medical reasons I now need them for work dose anyone know any good water proof gloves? They must go past my elbow! Thanks in advance.

I havn't been in petcare at work in weeks cause its a pain in the ass for them to send someone to catch fish for me it's driving me mad I tell you!!!! I love that part of my job and hate being on register! If I'm the only one on register I'm not permited to leave for any reason unless I have someone to take over. Your pet store must not care about making sales lol

Their name rhymes with petco lol
It's frustrating. People always form a line, and just wait. And someone always has to leave the line, and go searching for a worker.
I've just gone to the grooming part and paid there lately. These are what we recommend to immunocompromised patients looking for a little more freedom - best quality for the price and they're tear resistent. I'm unsure of the thickness but they are highly waterproof and the material is aquarium safe.

Being the world's lightest sleeper to an annoying degree finally paid off last night. Woke up to a splashing sound, and though all my tanks are covered I had to get up and check anyway - and sure enough, one of my peppered cories was laying on my dresser. She was only out of the water for a second, but I was really half sure I was going to wake up to a dead cory this morning. They're all active and trying to steal my bettas pellets like normal though, I can't even tell which one it was! I still don't know how the stressful little thing got out (she's pretty plump and twice as wide as any of the holes in the mesh cover), but at least she's okay. Losing lots of sleep over this hobby lately!

Bare with me and my question, but does anyone know the liquid product that you use for getting shipped live fish or shipping fish?

About 5 years ago I had a product for this, but I honestly can't remember what exactly it was for. But it was supposed to help with getting live fish and acclimating them, but I'm positive on that. Not going to be using it, just curious what it was called. lol Gosh this post just sounds weird. I hope someone knows what I'm talking about. German Blue rams cichlids.

On Saturday I will be transporting 2 of my beloved fish, my redtail shark 'The General' and my sailfin pleco 'Mr. P' to my Bestie's home because they have outgrown my 46g & she has a 125g to love them in. Each fish is approx 6.5 inches. Her place is just over 1 hour away, it's very cold in NY right now. My plan is to warm up the car, warm up a 36"lx15"wx18"h cooler using a space heater. Fill the cooler about 8 inches deep with tank water, add the 2 fish, close the lid, strap the cooler into my car & drive like Steve McQueen.

Does this sound OK?
Does anyone see a problem closing the lid on the cooler if there is 10 inches of air space in it?

Should be ok, I recently did this when I purchased a used tank that came with cichlids. I used a bucket cat litter comes in much thinner. I kept it by the floor vent. Was 1 1/2 hr drive. When you get to your destination put a heater in the cooler to bring them up to temp gradually and drip acclimate. And add an airstone.

I just drained and moved my 30 gallon tank last night so my fish were sitting in a bucket for at least an hour and then in my tiredness I left a guppy acclimating in a cup over night in my betta tank. Everybody is doing well.
