size tank and amount of shrimp
Shrimps nees to be in groups and not alone mostly in a group of 5 and more shrimps would be perfect. For shrimps you need a 10gallon tank. There is no tank size for only one shrimp because shrinps need company in order to survive and breed.
having other ccreatures in the tank…
Do not put in fish or any other animals in the tank expect for shrimps ( yes the shrimp can be different breeds). Donot trust when people say “these fish ( or watever animal)wont eat your shrimp)” because its all up to the fish. Even if it dosnt eat the shrimp it will most likely eat it once it dies. Also the fish will eat the sheimps eggs once it trys to breed so make sure you obly have tanks full of fish and others w/o shrimp unless you have lots of plants for them to hide in.
feeding your shrimp,
Before you set up a shrimp cage ( this is opitinal but recommended) sprinkle down some aloge powder (which you can order offline or buy at a local pet store). That is for the shrimpa to eat at if you wont be home or just a little snack. But you should feed your shrimp aloge waffers ( order offline) because shrimp are likely to eat aloge. Or you can plant down some plants and that will create bacteria for them to eat.
setting up a tank
You need: shrimp mineral, aquarium subtract, aloge powder (optinal), live plants (java moss, java fern.etc.), wood and sticks, freshwater, 10gallon tank, group of shrimp
All you do is sprinkle down the aloge powder then you put down the subtact or gravel, and plant in the plants (stick em in the subtract), take a water spraying bottle and spray down the subtract till damp then poor in freah qater slowly till almost to the top and place in the shrimp.
Taking care of a shrimp is really easy.
