#10 What’s The Deal?
It’s only fitting on a ten things list about monster fish to define what a monster fish it.
I don’t think there’s an actual list of requirements for a fish to be called a monster fish.
It’s pretty self explanatory, a monster fish is any fish that get’s....... well..... huge.
#9 Monster Fish Require A Monster Tank
When you have fish that get huge, you need to put them in a huge tank. Welcome to the conversation captain obvious.
#8 Loners
There’s one thing about a monster fish tank that turns a lot of people off and that is that a lot of times you’ll see these monster fish alone in a tank.
You have this huge tank with only one fish in it. A lot of people think that’s boring…..
#7 Do Your Job
With monster fish being so big and eating as much as they do they can foul up a tank pretty fast.
If you’re not ready to put in the work you might wanna stay away from them.
#6 Just Add Water
One of the cool things about monster fish is the fact that most of them are really fast growers.
You can get a Peacock Bass, a Dovii or a red tail catfish and if you do your job they can double if not triple in size in 4-5 months.
#5 Food
Feeding fish is the fun part of the hobby, it’s everyones favorite thing to do. It’s like the reward you get for doing all the work.
I did a water change, I cleaned out the filter, scraped off the algae from the glass…. Now I get to feed them.
#4 Interior Decorators
Something you’ll find that’s pretty common in monster tanks is little to no decorations.
Some of you might be turned off by this but there’s a really big reason why and that is that allot of monster fish will tear up anything in the tank with them.
#3 Do The Right Thing
Ok lets say you’re watching this video because you decided a while back to get a monster.
You love that fish and you’ve had it for a while but you’ve realized it’s become a little more than you can handle.
The fish has gotten too big for the tank and you don’t have time for all the work involved in taking care of it.
You’ve decided it’s time to get rid of the fish.
#2 You Don’t Have To Feed Them Feeder Fish
This is one that no matter how many times I say it there are still people that don’t believe me but I’m gonna say it again.
You don’t have to feed your monster fish goldfish, guppies or roses reds. Just forget it, it’s stupid.
#1 Let’s Get Controversial
Ok it’s not unusual for us to say things on these 10 things episodes that upset some people, don’t fly off the handle yet, hear me out.
