How to take care of your fish bowl!

Fish are NOT easy pets. They require space, environment, and suitable stimulation. One of the most misunderstood species is the Siamese fighting fish,(Betta splendens). Many people believe that bettas live in mud puddles, when in reality they live in vast humid swamps and rice paddies. They require heat, gentle filtration, and of course a fully cycled aquarium to live the 5 years or more. In this video, my poor Aleks the betta has to live 3 minutes in the typical betta housing. He is safe and happy in his planted home :)
