Taking care of Guppy fish isn't difficult as long as you follow some parameters. Making sure you have a cycled tank with beneficial bacteria is key to success. Too many beginners just buy a fish tank and throw some guppy fish in the tank and hope for the best. It doesn't work that way. Your tank needs to be established and have beneficial bacteria.

These fish are so popular just because of the fact that a lot of beginners can use a smaller fish aquarium versus a lot of the other tropical fish were you need a bigger set up. I'll be ginner can easily have a couple of these fish inside of a 10 gallon aquarium and that's creating a lot of aspects for beginners. I would never keep any fish personally inside of attending an aquarium and I would just go the 20 gallon but that's my personal preference.

These fish are omnivores in the eat both sides of the food table. Most of their food can consist of tropical flakes. But you're going to want to change it up a little bit by adding some meat in their diet like some worms or insects or shrimp. You can find at Walmart what is called dried shrimp in the fish aquarium section. It works amazing and they love the stuff and it's easy to keep.

You also want to make sure that you have an aquarium heater in your fish tank so that the tropical water temperatures are between the range of 74 to around 82°F. Are not going to want to cut corners by not having a fish heater because if your water isn't up to the right temperature your fish are not going to be healthy.

There are lots of different species of Guppy fish and you're going to find that there's a wide range of different coloration. That's pretty much the idea behind the fact of why I can let go of these fish even though they are categorized as a beginner level. It seems like a lot of expert level aquarium owners come back to the Guppy fish because they're just so subtle and easy and so bright and colorful.

You're also going to find out how often these fish actually give birth. I bet you didn't know that a single female Guppy fish can lay or give birth three different times on the same fertilization from one male. And one female can lay up to a couple hundred babies at once. You can do a little more research on this but I'm just getting a rough idea on what you can expect.
