Fish always seem to come dead last when it comes to empathetic keepers. Far to many little fish lives have been sacrificed to a owner who simply did not "get it".
There are some who take care to save those animals who have fallen to this fate. this video is about one of those animals. This is an Oscar named Sunrise. this fish was kept in 55 gallons of pea soup. The water was so bad I did not realize it had hole in the head until I got it into this temporary hospital tank.
I am trying to rehab the fish now and it seems to be coming along well but in the mean time I wanted to post this. My hope is that someone sees this who is not part of our community. One of the people new to fish keeping or a parent considering a tank for their child perhaps so that this can serve as a consideration. These animals deserve some respect so please learn what you can about your fish before you decide on its tank and how you will maintain it.
