Added commentary on fish tanks:
Platy Fish do need an aquarium filter. Like I said, I'm out. I'm done being a part of this "team" that just wants passive people to go along with whatever they think and believe. The way the group is run is a joke. There is no control, no consistency, no modicum of professionalism and it's clear through yall's behavior toward me since the beginning that it will never change. I came on the team because I wanted to fix the things. https://youtu.be/LkeCvwzEaCA

I saw in the group and yall came at me when I said anything about creating some basic things that would stop that. Now, I see that the very first thing was only a symptom of a much larger problem that stems with the very top and trickles all the way down. I'm sorry that this didn't work out but I will not allow myself to be treated as I have been nor will I be in a group that condones such inappropriate things. Platy Fish need a filter to be healthy.

Well, here's my new tank! My father in law said it was leaking from the bottom, because there was a puddle under it for two or three days in a row after cleaning it up and refilling it, but the sides weren't wet at all. But when I picked it up, it had a few inches of water in it, and the shelf it was sitting on was bone dry. I'm gonna have to do a leak test and see if it's actually leaking or maybe the filter was kicking water out or something. So it'll probably be either a quick fix or no fix at all, lol. Either way he said he was sick of maintaining it and doesn't want it back.

Also, among the two glofish danios there was this pleco. Either a bristlenose or a rubberlip. Should this guy go in with the parrots and stuff in the warmer tank? Or would he be okay in the colder goldfish tank?

But anyway, the glofish are in the 120 (they would be eaten instantly in the 90) and the pleco is in the 90. Hoping he does well, and helps with that annoying patchy algae I get on my glass, lol I'm digging this LED hood too! Just a tap and it comes on, lol. I'm amused by the silliest things.

I hope this tank works out for me, I bet Stoick would love it. Honestly if my wife would let me I'd start it as a nano reef, but that ain't gonna happen. Can someone tell me what’s up with my sons new beta?? I was thinking swim bladder but how do you treat it?? Or is she just really good at playing dead? No signs of ick, labored breathing and is eating fine.

I am sorry. It is best to euthanize at this point. Make sure you test your water to see what may be causing the issue for future prevention. Wow some people just ready to give up before at least trying sorry he's not that far down the rabbit hole yet.

Thank you all SO much it is greatly appreciated, really... we will try the epsom salt. And do we hand feed the peas? We will get them tomorrow. This fish has fought dropsy before. I've used plexy glass that had been cut to size and sanded to take away the sharp edges like a divider in my 5 gallon bucket just for cases like this.

I would consider giving him peas as a first meal shelled of course he needs to take a healthy he's probably backed up if that doesn't help I would suggest clear but at this point unless your close to a pet store that actually has it is slim to none. You wont neeed the peas. the epsom salt will do the same and will work quicker..jacks a tough fish I'm sure u can save him ..best of luck!! Update if you save him please.

my koi had that and it worked unfortunately it may be too late it probably parasitic or swimbladder but either way general cure will work if it’s not too late i’ve seen it save my fish it’s safe too unfortunately at the store it’s 20 bucks a box 13 on amazon it’s good to keep on hand so sorry and good luck.
