Walmart Fish Exposè

I have noticed several times that Walmart does not take very good care of their fish. Many times it looked like the fish hadn't been fed in days and the water was murky in some of the tanks. In this video you can clearly see one of the tanks is completely dirty on all of it's walls. In another clip you'll see that there are 7 dead fish that have turned white(Alive, these fish were silver and red), are floating on top of the water and are partially decayed. In another clip you'll see that many goldfish are jammed into one small tank, way too many. In the other clips I caught the other fish, so starved, eating the dead fish in their tank just to fight their own malnutrition and avoid the same fate.

It sucks because I feel really bad for the fish. I am not with PETA or any other animal rights group but I don't think Walmart should be selling fish if they are not going to properly take care of them. They should be cared for at least twice a day and from the looks of it, nobody is caring for them days at a time. Once I was there and witnessed a worker removing dead fish and laughing to herself.

The Betas have it bad too. They are shoved into a small plastic container the size of a very small potted plant container you'd see in the Lawn & Garden and all of them look hopelessly bored and confined. We bought our daughter one of the fish and it died in 2 days with clean water and the right amount of food in the bowl. Walmart mistreats fish, they shouldn't be selling them if they aren't going to take care of them properly.
