Breeding Rare Fish: Xenotoca einseni

The Bristol Aggie NRM Department is currently breeding several species of rare fish. Xenotoca einseni is native to Mexico and is endangered across its range. The NRM students have produced hundreds of offspring to date. These rare fish may some day be released once the pollution and inappropriate water management in their native streams are addressed. Until that day, assurance colonies, such as this one, will preserve these fish for the future.
