Sorry for the blurry video. This is an old video that I found backed up in my drive.
I have this Blood Parrot couple for more than 3 years now and they are doing great. Their size is almost more than 5 inches now.
One thing that I remember while filming this video is that they used to mate only when the lights were turned on. It is very important to keep the water parameters near their comfortable mark and of course lighting does matter a lot.
Mine breeds and lays eggs but unfortunately the male is infertile due to which the eggs don't hatch. Getting an offspring from the blood parrots isn't quite easy as they are hybrids and 95% of males are infertile.
