Dropping your water temp slowly to 80 degrees after water changes will make them rowdy their will be a lot of fighting as they look for their mate. you'll know they have paired up when two start hanging together in one spot chasing all others that come close. when they are preparing to lay eggs they will start shimmying their fins at each other and the male will swim around the female and gently nudge her body they will also do this sort of dance where they bow their heads at each other
