Birds Feast on Migratory Fish around Qinghai Lake

The landscape along rivers feeding northwest China's Qinghai Lake have recently turned into a paradise for cormorants as they find an abundance of migratory fish to feast on.

Cormorants usually enter breeding season in March, and by early June their young babies will come out after hatching. They need a large amount of food during this time, which coincides with the annual migration of naked carp to the area.

The birds wait on the islands and reefs all day to find opportunities to feast on the great schools of naked carp leaving the salty Qinghai Lake to spawn in freshwater rivers. More on: http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20160610/8023695.shtml#!language=1
