Sambo Fish and How They Can Stop Zika

Zika virus is a major threat to expecting mothers in Central America and the Caribbean. The disease is carried by a unique species of mosquito that can breed inside of homes. Most residents in these countries do not have easy access to safe water. This means they have to travel long distance to acquire it. Since they can't make the trip everyday, they bring large containers with them so that they will have a supply to get them through the week. These large, open containers of water are the perfect breeding ground for the mosquitos carrying Zika. Operation Blessing has a creative plan to help neutralize these breeding grounds and halt the spread of Zika at it's source.
