Betta Fish is Dying? What to Do?

Dislike 0 Published on 30 Sep 2019

My aquarium Betta fish is dying and what should I do? When you keep this type of fish in a smaller fish tank sometimes you will have issues with the water parameters and a lot of people screw that up. Just because beta fish are put in small little plastic cups doesn’t mean that that is a good home for them. And sometimes people think their betta fish is dying but it’s actually just sleeping and if you give the water a little movement they will come back to life.

More additional talk regarding fishtanks:
Those are the shimmies. It’s very common in mollies when they’re stressed. I don’t see that they have swim bladder at all. I do see some aggression, probably due to over crowding.

I’m guessing that tank isn’t heated either, being so small. Mollies need tropical temperatures.

They either need to go back to the store, or into a bigger tank. A 20 gallon (around 75L) is the minimum for that many. They also need a heater and a good filter. If you don’t have room for that big of a tank, they need to be rehomed.

1 teaspoon of rock salt for every 5 gal. of water.for me it takes 3-5 days until you notice that his abdomen start to expand.and avoid using of iodize salt because its harmful for the fish.its better to buy rock salt in petshop instead in supermarket.for the using of garlic take one piece and put inside of the aquarium for every 8 hrs.

Garlic is a natural antibiotic.so that there is nothing to worry and its not harmful especially to our fish.much better every 5 days you put some salt to your aquarium because mollies are brackish water fish.

little juvie from another batch.. was not too happy with the quality. the new batch are different genes and different parents. but this little guy is strong. hes in a 45 gallon all to himself. eyes seem a bit odd but hes strong. he came from a bggg pair. i feel that bggg x bggg is not as good as bg x bg... for breeding ebjds. too many genes getting mixed. just my opinion.

yea i just kept one out of that batch. just been breeding for fun. but this was from a male bggg that was produced witha ebjd gg and a bggg female. so i think his genes are just crap.

he does eat well and has alot of energy thats why i decided to see what happens but i dont have that much riding on him becoming a stunner eb.

I didn’t like Goldfish for many years. A pal asked me to try a pair and they grow on you. Easy, peaceful, and friendly fish. The orange color fish, if you feed them well and and maintain good water. I think they will look great.. Infact the breeder also called them as red fish.

They may not be as exciting as the multicolored guys, but they have charms of their own. Have you seen the ones that are raised outside in green water? Some of them are -red-. It's awesome!
