Mik and Nik - Nikolai Digs

Dislike 0 Published on 4 Jan 2012

Nikolai digs for most of this video, nearly submerging himself. I also manage to coax a bit more nibbles before I head home.

These two foxes are from the Russian Domesticated fox project. Mikhail is the larger one with the very small spot of white on his forehead, and Nikolai is the smaller, slightly more dominant fox with some subtle white patches on his shoulders.

This video was shot at the Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary. This is a temporary enclosure for them to get some exercise and fresh air in until their permanent habitat is complete. The foxes are here because of an importing problem of the organization Sibfox. After being improperly imported to the US (through Texas) the government seized them and they were leased to this zoo.
