In this video, Dr. Berg talks about the reason why not to put your pet mice on the ketogenic diet. The recent study says, “A high fat ketogenic diet causes hepatic insulin resistance in mice.”
Keto Macros in Mice:
• Protein: 8.6%
• Carbs: 3.2%
• Fat: 75%
But the ingredients fed in mice are:
• Lard
• Butter
• Corn Oil
• Casein
• Cellulose
• Minerals
• Vitamins
• Dextrose
If you ever hear anything related to the ketogenic diet causing a fatty liver, diabetes, insulin resistance and high cholesterol - look at the actual study, see if it is a mice study and find out what these mice ate.
Note that Ketogenic Diet applied in mice is very DIFFERENT with the Ketogenic Diet for human.
