Improving Your Core Exercise And Horse Treats | Being A Better Rider Challenge

Dislike 0 Published on 5 Aug 2017

Hi everyone! Today is day 5 in our being a better rider challenge. And we are going to add an exercise into our daily routine. And too make sure we include our horses, we are also going to be making horse treats!
The first part of today's challenge is to do a plank. The plank is a fantastic exercise that will help to tone up your belly, strengthen your core muscles, and help to improve your posture and your balance. It also doesn't require you to spend hours at the gym every day. You can do this exercise without any fancy equipment.
We will add plank to the rest of our calendar, and each day write down how long you are able to do the plank exercise.

And after you have done your plank exercise, how about making some horse treats for your horse? This recipe is very easy to make, and it doesn't take a lot of time. If you would prefer to make a sugar free horse treat, I have a video showing you how to do that too, and there is no sugar added to that recipe. YOu can find that video here:
Sugar Free Horse Treats https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IWTR8HDPJI&t=42s

But here are the ingredients for this recipe:
3 cups oat bran
1 cup flax seeds
1 cup quick oats
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 Tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup molasses
1 cup applesauce
Peppermint candy sticks

Mix all the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl (except the peppermint sticks!)

Put the mixture into cake pop pans, and take one peppermint stick, and insert into the center of each cake pop. You will have a hole in the center of each 'cake pop'.

Bake the ingredients at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes, and then allow them to cool for about 10 minutes. Then insert the peppermint candy sticks into the center of the cake pop.
Allow to completely cool (like 8 hours) and then give your horse a sweet treat!
