Horse Training for Any Rider -- How to Neck Rein and Steer

Dislike 0 Published on 29 Jan 2019

Horse Training for beginners . Natural Horsemanship exercises.
This is a short clip of the start of Max working on the passenger exercise.
This exercise creates a consistent cadenced gait and makes the horse responsible for listening to your seat. They begin to just follow your body language and go where you ride. You are riding from behind and not pulling on your horses mouth.
Our goal with this and Max is to have him trotting consistently and quietly on the rail all the way around the arena, staying there because we want to ride there, not because we are holding them on with inside leg, or pulling them on the rail, etc. They are quietly waiting for our cue to do something different.
Enjoy! and stay tuned for more updates on Max's progress as we continue this exercise.
