A exercise for horses that rush after fences | by Faye Minors |

Just a little exercise that i have found to be very affective for horses that rush off after fences. My horse Storm (shown in the video) is a horse that is very strong and the more I pull the fasters she goes, this exercise really worked!

Step 1. warm up
Step 2. trotting poles
Step 3. make them into a small cross pole
Step 4. have another fence set up with the poles at the side and none in the middle. make them come back to you and walk by that fence.
Step 5. keep practising. Do Not pull on their mouth, use your seat and stomach to slow them!
Step 6. If your horse is ready put the fences up to a sensible height
Step 7. make them wait between each fence again Do Not pull on their mouth!
Step 8. ALWAYS REWARD, if its a young horse this is very important !!

Hope you liked and it works for.
