One of the biggest misconceptions about Guinea pigs is that they can go inside a ball. It hurts their spine and arches their back in a way that can cause severe permanent damage. Guinea pigs need exercise. Guinea pigs need a minimum of 8 to 10 ft² of cage space and floor time to run. Guinea pigs should never be left unsupervised outside in should only be in safe areas where no chemical pesticides have been sprayed.
