Play exercise with Degas and curious goats

When I play and do exercise with my horse, I don't like to influence on his balance by controlling his head. I want him to feel free to go back grazing in any moment, that's why I don't do it in fenced areas and if done in the paddock, he can just walk away. I think it's important that a horse finds self carriage by hinself and choses this position because it's a pleasure to do so and expresses his emotions. Further more it's important to listen to the horse when he wants to stop with an exercise. Lately I was doing exercise on collected trot and passage and it looks totally different from passage you can see in dressage horse under saddle. The horse needs to balance very much with the head and neck, which is in continous motion, not static as one can observe in dressage performance. Of course it's also different from prancing of free horses. But still I believe that my horse likes this kind of interaction, as he offen starts to do it by himself. Especially in this season when it's getting colder and no flies are annoying him he he feels energetic and likes to show it and becomes more playful.
