Do Malamutes Need Lots Of Exercise? Come On Walkies With Us... (Phil Hates Bath Time!!)

Hey guys. We get asked all the time how much exercise the dogs need. Like any dog they need to be stimulated both mentally and physically, malamutes are a very large breed so they do in fact tend to be slower and like their rest more than their counterpart the husky. People get these dogs confused. Whilst huskies have boundless pent up energy and keep going like a Duracell bunny, Phil and Niko like a good sleep after an hour long walk! Note also that this is the dog that hates bath time like it's the end of the world! Notice exhibit A, video evidence of him thoroughly enjoying any dirty water he can find! Then exhibit B, him looking again like imminent doom is upon him while getting sprinkled with a hose in a bathing fashion.
This is a typical walk for these guys, Niko likes to continually assert dominance and Phil is scared to let you out of his sight. Niko has to stay on the lead sometimes as she is not nice to other dogs, when it's clear she's let off. Phil of course loves everything and everyone (except Derek and his worst nightmare, Derek in a bath trying to lather him up whilst wearing flip flops and a Miami vest)
We often play hide and seek with the dogs as they run ahead, they come bounding back like giant fluffy clouds of happiness to find you. Everyone should have a dog, they bring endless smiles!
And of course, like eating your favourite part of the dinner first as a kid, The worst is left to last. Both dogs get tied to their little docking station and hosed down. Heaven forbid... Phil's eyes scream 'why hath thy forsaken me!!??' Niko is a little more meh but she hates it on her toes.
