Dog training to improve calmness and confidence

Our Confidence and Body Awareness sessions are designed to bring your dog’s focus into their own body and movement and give them a sense of achievement. The technical term for what we are doing is proprioception activities.
During the sessions your dog will encounter a variety of fun physical challenges, matched to your dogs confidence level. Those challenges usually involve various surfaces to step on, low level obstacles to mindfully step over, obstacles to through, between and under, wobbly surfaces and other novel sensory experiences. Your dog will use their movement in a slow, focused and deliberate way to solve those physical problems. To boost confidence, the challenges will be set just a bit outside your dogs comfort zone, but still so your dog is motivated enough. Your dog will choose whether they want to play the game and at what pace, and its our job to make it motivating. No force or lead tension will be used, only treats placed in strategic places.
This activity is great fun for dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes. Apart from physical exercise and mental stimulation, your dog might benefit by having a confidence boost or a lots of practise of moving in a focused, deliberate and calm manner.
