Exercise : Listening?

This is an exercise to develop dog's focus and listening to verbal cues. It also tests dog's memory skill. I give verbal cue "sit" and "down" while Mac is eating food at the other side of the kitchen island. I'm out of sight, so he cannot see any visual cues. This is our 1st session, and I don't think he is really listening to the verbal cue as you can see at the end of the video. More practice needed to mix different behaviors.
