Belgian Malinois 101 - Feeding, Grooming, Training, Exercise & Health care of a Belgian malinois

Belgian Malinois is a medium-to-large dog breed. American Kennel Club has placed them in Herding dogs group. It has similar attributes as a GSD but is leggier and has a bigger head. Belgian malinois were originally bred to be herding dogs but nowadays they're one of the best versatile dogs.


Malinois were originally developed in "Malines” a city in belgium and therefore, were named as “Belgian Malinois”. Malinois are one of the four Belgian herding dogs, that are considered as a single breed in Belgium.


AKC recognize Belgian malinois as a separate breed from others while United kennel club of UK considers all four types as one by calling them "Belgian sheepdogs".
